Understandably, things had been more then a little stressful the past little while. Hearing Emma let herself in, Adrian turned away from the feast in his kitchen and moved to greet her. "Hey," he smiled, brushing a light kiss to her forehead as he greeted her, before helping her with her coat. There was a heavy weight in his pocket, particularly now that Emma had arrived and, for once in his life, Adrian was unsure how he was going to proceed with their evening.
