Clint stumbled back, easily catching her weight as she flung herself into his arms. Returning her kiss, he smiled and gave her a quick peck on her forehead before he lost his towel. "Glad you like it," he said, letting his eyes rest on her hand. It was weird to see it there but it felt right and he could appreciate that. He was glad she liked it. Family heirlooms could be tricky and all that and he didn't want her to wear something she wasn't comfortable with. It was a pretty ring. Nothing over the top and simple enough that he didn't think she'd be too annoyed with it.
Changing into a pair of jeans, a tee and a hoodie, Clint ran a towel through his hair and was done. He mentally went over the checklist he needed to get done this weekend before he headed back to France on Sunday. He'd head over to his Aunt's house tomorrow and have tea with Elizabeth. His parents were back and he ought to pop in and let them know what's going on. Not that he felt like dealing with that. But he would.
When he was ready, he pulled Lexi to him and gave her a deep kiss. "Next year," he murmured, brushing his lips along her jaw. "We're staying in bed." He was certain there was more than one he could convince her that it would be a very appropriate choice. As they headed out for the day, Clint gave Cat a pat on the head before grabbing Lexi and disapperating. They found themselves lost in the British Museum all day, looking over antiques and art. It wasn't that bad, actually, he enjoyed this stuff nearly as much as she did and it was a surprisingly good Valentine's Day. Not something he'd ever expected to really want. But with Lexi? Well,he usually found himself wanting the unexpected.
