She let the comment about Katie slip by. She really didn't want to talk about Katie right then. "It's not like anyone could blame you if you did," she muttered quietly. That was the thing about all of this. It wasn't that she assumed the worst from other people. She assumed the worst from herself. They left because of her. That was the reason behind all of her fears.
"It's isn't so easy to just push it aside, Clint," she responded, staring down at her hands. "If it was, don't you think I would have already done so?" She had thought she was over the majority of it. It had been a long time since it'd surfaced like this, but the mention of her Father had seemed to bring it all back to the surface. The Aurors had suggested she would be the one he would seek out, but he hadn't. She could tell herself all she wanted that she didn't care and she didn't want him to, but that wasn't entirely the truth.
"I love you too, you know that," she glanced back up at him, considering what it was he was saying. "I want to believe that. More than anything, but I can't promise I won't ever be worried about it. I can try to be better at it, but let's face it, so far I've not been very good at it."
