She raised a brow when he disapperated and sighed, perfectly content, even though every muscle in her body was pulsing. Katie wasn't a big believer in Valentine's Day and was perfectly content to avoid the entire thing. Things were going surprisingly well for her and Marcus. There'd been little to no drama for them and Katie was actually incredibly happy. Her thoughts drifted to Marcus, idly tracing patterns on her stomach as she smiled, thinking about Marcus and how crazy it was that she was in love with him. What was even crazier was that he was in love with her. Even if he couldn't say it. She knew it.
The loud pop signified his arrival and Katie glanced up, a smile spreading across her lips. Sitting up, she took the pizza from him and opened it. "You got my favorite," she said, as he sat next to her. She leaned over, brushing a soft kiss to his lips, deepening it for just a moment before pulling away. "I suppose I can spare one piece for you," she said, handing him a pineapple, red pepper and chicken slice. Shifting, Katie leaned back against his chest, letting her head rest against his shoulder. No one was here to see them and that was fine with her. This private moment was perfect. Taking a bite, Katie sighed.
"If someone had told me I'd be sitting here, with you..." she shook her head. "Never in a million years." She kissed his cheek and polished off her first piece of pizza. "This is perfect." And it oddly was. She was comfortable, relaxed and the strangest thing... she didn't have to be anyone else with Marcus and he seemed find with that.
"Two weeks til the first game," she said, excitedly. "Think you can get me into shape?"
