Clint was more than happy to go out and hang out with Adrian and Marcus. It felt like it'd been ages. He was used to seeing both of them on a daily basis but with Ade having left the Falcons and Marcus running England and regular practices being suspended for the Cup? Well, it'd been a while since they were all in the same room at the same time. Heading in, he grinned as his favorite waitress walked up to him and gave him a hug, congratulating him on his marriage. Heading to the guys, Clint watched Ade sit down, brow furrowed as he studied his cousin. He looked off.
Sitting down, Clint crossed his legs, waved over a whiskey and leaned back, comfortably in his chair. Things had been a little overwhelming the past week and he knew it was because he'd decided to marry Lexi. He wasn't nervous so much as... slightly wary. Mostly at his mother's reaction. he hadn't heard from her and he wasn't really keen on listening to her lecture. She wouldn't approve of Lexi.
On the list his mother had produced, Lexi hit one point. Decent Pureblood family. And honestly? Even her family lineage wasn't that great. The Montgomery's had decent status but it wouldn't propel the Warrington's any higher. Not that they needed that. Still, his mother would complain about the lack of connection and strength of the marriage.
"How's the Bell fucking going?" he asked, grinning, knowing it'd annoy Flint. He still found it weird. So very, very weird. Oddly enough... it was working. They looked happy together...
