Katie was sitting there, feeling completely out of place and sending angry, telepathic messages to Marcus for not letting her go with him. Katie was the least likely person in this room to ever get married and to ever plan something like this. Ever. Glancing at the packets on the table, Katie reached for a cookie, ignoring the wedding talk. Marcus was probably getting some lap dance from some stupid waitress and getting to drink whiskey and have food. Katie was stuck with champagne, cookies, and a very pale Emma and a very stressed Lexi. This wasn't fun. "We should go paintballing," Katie, said, randomly, taking a bite of the cookie.
Emma, on the other hand, ignored Katie's suggestion. "Purple is good," Emma said, nodding, taking away two packets. "These are the packets that have purple. I knew it was your favorite color." She studied Lexi, watching her closely. She was starting to panic. Emma stood up, swaying slightly on her feet, before moving to sit next to Lexi. She swallowed her nausea and took Lexi's hand. "It will be fine. I promise. It's not that hard or complicated. We'll get it done. I promise."
"Now," she said, getting back to the task at hand. "Purple is a great place to start." Handing her a stack of wedding venues, Emma smiled. " Here. Look through these. See what you like. Theres some gorgeous ideas in there. Tents with enchanted ceilings... indoor spots. Whichever appeals to you. I can get any of these."
Katie shook her head, and sighed. She should help. Picking up one of the purple folders, Katie thumbed through it. It still wasn't fair that Marcus got to go drinking and she had to look at bridesmaid gowns. Ugh. Purple.
