Emma sat down, dismissing her concerns and taking a sip of her ginger ale. She raised a brow at Lexi and studied her friend. "Lexi," she said, giving Katie a smile as she sat down. "You're marrying Clint Warrington. This is going to be a very large wedding and it will be a society wedding. You're both purebloods with very good standing. Clint is a very popular figure in the Wizarding world and playing for a National team." She patted Lexi's knee. "You're looking at a 200 person wedding. Minimum." Brushing her hair off her forehead, Emma leaned back, paling as a wave of nausea hit her. Swallowing, she took a deep breath.
"Now," she started, pulling out some information she'd narrowed down. "What needs to be done this week is a guest list, invitations, and your venue. We also need to decide on what colors you'd like. I have to start booking venues and vendors." Emma rubbed her forehead, slightly down that this wasn't her wedding she was planning but it was Lexi and she was happy for her.
"We need to decide on all of this tonight," she said, firmly, handing Lexi a stack of information to go through. "I've narrowed down all of your preferences and I think you'll be happy with the choices I've laid out in each binder." Running a hand through her hair, Mrs. Fields bustled in pouring champagne for Katie and Lexi and a glass for Emma. "Each of these binders contains a theme with colors, cake design etc."
Katie leaned back, taking her champagne, so glad that it wasn't her that was dealing with this. She looked at Lexi and shook her head. "You're kind of amazing, Emma," she said, watching her half-brother's girlfriend. She was twenty-two but anytime Katie was around her, she felt like Emma was worlds older. "Sometimes I forget you're only twenty-two."
Emma laughed and shook her head. "I'm good with details," she said, brushing her hair off her shoulder. "It's why I went into Art and verifying real pieces."
