Lexi's week? She couldn't quite believe it had happened. It had started out as per normal and then Clint had asked her to marry him and everything just seemed to explode. She'd somehow managed to convince Emma to do all the hard stuff and since then she'd been recieving a continuous stream of invitation samples, dress designed, wedding magazines with a thousand pages all dog-eared. She couldn't hide from them. Even at Clint's they found her. Of course, it likely wouldn't have been so bad had Clint not decided to get married in a months time. Of course, Lexi couldn't really complain to much as she'd agreed.
She was well aware of what everyone was thinking. A marriage proposal and an almost non-existent engagement? They all thought she was pregnant. Which, naturally, was not the truth of it. She couldn't say the reasons Clint had for wanting to go through with it so soon, but she hadn't found herself hesitating simply because it didn't make her nervous. Clint had been in her life through everything. There really wasn't anything scary about binding herself to him. She already had in any way that really mattered. If he wanted to get married so soon, well, she had no complaints.
That didn't mean everything would be a walk in the park. She wasn't looking forward to dealing with his parents. She didn't need any help second guessing herself and they were both extremely likely to remind her of all her shortcomings. It was bound to be tiresome and exhausting. She was content to remain dealing only with Emma. "Hi," she grinned, glad to see her back where she belonged. Adrian had said she'd been in Denmark and Lexi couldn't fathom why. Family, or not.
Returning her hug, Lexi laughed lightly. "Thanks." She wasn't at all surprised that Emma seemed to have everything set out and ready. Everything done up neatly and organized. Taking a seat on the love seat, Lexi shook her head. "You don't have to go all out or anything," she responded, "I'm quite happy with something simple. You're more cut out for the huge Society wedding than I am."
