Who: Emma, Lexi and Katie When: Sunday afternoon/evening Where: Emma's house What: Emergency Wedding Planning Status: In Progress Rating: Low
Emma's week had been... exhausting. Things were still tense between her and Adrian. They hadn't spoken much about the pregnancy and she'd stayed at her place, mostly. Adrian was upstairs, getting ready to head out with Marcus and Clint. Emma, on the other hand, was preparing a binder filled with pictures and styles she was certain Lexi would like for the wedding. She had a little over a month to do this and she was in the middle of the worst bout of all day sickness she'd had. Emma was slightly pale as she headed downstairs. Her hair was up in a ponytail and she was in a pair of yoga pants and a baggy sweater. It was, possibly, the most unprepared outfit either Katie or Lexi would ever see her in but she couldn't bring herself to care.
Mrs. Fields had set up the living room with cookies and snacks and Emma gave her an appreciative smile, handing her the binders to place on the table as she headed into the kitchen. Pulling out some ginger ale, Ade popped in, on his way out and asked if she needed anything. When she shook her head, there was a momentary flash of tension between them before he pulled her into his arms and gave her a soft kiss, nodding and heading out.
Sighing, Emma heard the doorbell as she hadn't reconnected to the Floo network yet and took a deep breath. She hadn't seen either Katie or Lexi since she left and she wasn't feeling up to visitors but Lexi had asked her to plan her wedding and as she was currently unemployed... well, she didn't have much else to do and dwelling on her current relationship status and the fact that she was almost eleven weeks pregnant. Her stomach had begun to slightly round off. It wasn't noticeable unless she was naked or lying down but it was visible proof that this was actually happening. Emma headed into the living room a smile on her face when Lexi and Katie walked in.
"Hi!" she said, going for happy. She supposed she'd have to tell them. Maybe after the wedding. This was Lexi's time.
"So," she said, sitting down. "I have everything you'll need on the table while we go over all the different options! I know it can be intimidating but this is going to be as easy as I can make it for you, okay?" She smiled and moved forward, giving Lexi a hug. "Congratulations!"
