Catherin looked the girl up and down, not bothering to hide the judgment or disgust in her gaze. Any woman who was so willing to lower herself to this standard was hardly a woman who would earn her respect. Catherin turned her gaze from the girl and focused on Oliver.
"You haven't been by to see me in some time," she pointed out. "I assumed that you were ill, but I see now that you were otherwise.... occupied."
