Mandy was mortified. She felt the flush moving up her cheeks and watched Oliver and his mother interact. She had no idea what she was supposed to say. It was so obvious what they'd been doing and Mandy had never imagined she'd be meeting his mother and definitely not dressed in knickers and a hoodie. Mandy tugged the hoodie down, grateful it at least hit mid-thigh.
"Hello Mrs. Wood," she said, wiping her hands on a towel, extending it for a shake. Not that she was sure she'd want to shake her hand. Mrs. Wood was very posh. Very, very posh and Mandy... was not. Her father was a book mender and her mother was a shop keeper.
"It's very nice to meet you..." she glanced at Oliver.
