Marcus snorted at that. "Yeah, I think that might be a good sign," he responded, wiggling his eyebrows at Clint over Bell's head as she leaned back against him. One way or an other, they always gave in. He'd drunk his fair share for the evening, but he was still feeling good. He hadn't yet crossed into the stage where Bell and Lexi were currently soaking up the alcohol. He laughed outright at Lexi. It amused him like nothing else that once you got a little alcohol in her, she was all for shedding clothing while she lived conservatively in jeans and sweaters the rest of the time.
Clint, however, wasn't far off the mark. Lexi was pretty sure she couldn't feel her nose, but she figured it was an unimportant part of her body currently so she could live with that. Clint's presence behind her was likely the only thing keeping her in her seat. She'd had a lot of alcohol that night and it wasn't likely to stop until the night had ended. "Dancing naked on tabletops," she snorted, amused. Kate's head with hit the ceiling." She agreed, however, that moving was a good idea. She was growing tired of this atmosphere. Some of the braver women were inching closer and she was less likely to use restraint when drinking.
"We can go back to my place," she suggested, not even bothering to try and sit up. She was comfortable and warm right where she was. She had no plan on moving until she had to. Her place wasn't all that big but it could at least handle three additional people ... of course, she eyed Marcus and Katie suspiciously. "Though, if you have sex on my furniture, walls, floor, or counters I'll string you both up with your intestines. True story." Gross. She didn't even want to think about it. They could get busy all they wanted so long as it was away from her stuff.
Marcus smirked, "You never had a problem with it before," he responded, cheekily.
Lexi smiled and flipped him off. "There's a reason there wasn't a repeat."
The comment earned a laugh from Marcus. He was secure enough in himself to not be offended by it. Neither one of them had taken the whole thing seriously and they took the mickey out of each other all the time. Just another day at the office, so to speak.
