The fact that Katie was out drinking with Marcus Flint and Clint Warrington was very telling. If she weren't so drunk, she might wonder what had happened to her old life. The one filled with George and Ali and Ange. Things had been different for a while and the whole Oliver fiasco hadn't helped. She'd done her best to keep everyone out of the middle. It wasn't like she wanted them to choose. Maybe some time away was a good thing. Course, if this got out, they'd all be pissed as hell and she'd never hear the end of it. Her eyes flickered to Marcus, unsure what it was that would actually happen with him. Her brows flickered upward at his agreement. "Wonders cease to amaze," she said, dryly, tossing back another shot. Merlin. She blinked, attempting to get her vision to focus.
"It's bad when you can no longer taste what you're drinking, right?" she asked, slumping backward slightly leaning against Flint. That last one hit her hard. The straw on the camel's back, so to say. He was solid. That was for sure. Katie wasn't small. She was all legs and arms and had a very willowy build. Not a lot of curves but enough to get by. It was always nice to encounter someone bigger than her. It was fairly rare in her world.
Clint was pretty far gone himself but he didn't fail to notice when Bell gave in completely to the alcohol and slumped against Marcus. He shot his friend an amused look and raised a brow, silently inquiring what he was going to do about it. She was more than interested. Lexi, on the other hand, was a bloody riot. "I'm not sure if your'e talking to them or us, love," he said, with a laugh. Clint held his alcohol better than anyone. Except maybe Ade. Well, occasionally Marcus. But Lexi? He was honestly surprised she hadn't fallen to the ground yet. In fact, he was pretty sure the only reason she was sitting up was because he was holding her up.
"If we're going to drink til the clothes come off than we need to relocate," he teased, tugging a strand of hair. "Aside from the fact that this is already going to make the papers, not so sure I want an angry Wood coming after me and yelling that I got his Chaser shitfaced and dancing naked on tabletops."
Katie straightened, blinking, looking slightly affronted. "Don't be ridiculous," she said, in mock seriousness. "He wouldn't be mad about that. He'd be mad it was you two… falcony-snakes that got to witness it." Especially since she'd cut him off.
