Marcus was ... well, what could he do but shake his head. This whole Bell thing was starting to get a little weird. Sure, don't get him wrong. She had a killer pair of legs on her, couldn't help it being that tall, but this infiltration into their circle and Lexi, of all people, willingly suggesting the increased presence of another female into their little group was something of a parody of their lives. So strange. He wasn't at all surprised when Clint hauled him up. It did have the potential to be a particularly interesting night, even if he didn't manage to land Bell. At the very least he might get some rumors flying that had the potential to piss off Wood and that would certainly make the night worth it.
Meanwhile, Lexi was laughing at Katie's irritation. "If it makes you feel better, you can owl Wood and tell him I would like to shag him and be left unsatisfied." Lexi wasn't worried about it. For one, she knew Katie was unlikely to take her up on it and two, he'd never believe her. Outside of her little group, Lexi wasn't the friendly sort. "Besides, you did say Wood left his own house to avoid you. Who cares about him. Have a bit of meaningly fun with Marcus and forget him. Or don't. Doesn't matter. You don't have to shag him if you don't want to. He probably didn't believe me anyway."
It would seem, however, that Katie had the right idea as a few short minutes later, two thirds of the Falcon's chasers showed up and a few of the other women in the bar perked up earning dark and very dangerous glares from Lexi. That would be their only warning. Tonight, she would hex a bint if they interrupted. Done with scaring away the locals, Lexi smiled brightly up at Clint as he slid in next to her. "Not too far ahead of you, " she laughed, snuggling into his side and enjoying the warmth. In one of her past lives, she'd clearly been a lizard and ad pulled her cold-blooded nature with her into this one.
Marcus was amused by the state the girls were in when they arrived, but no more amused than he was by the flush of Bell's cheeks. "I'd hate it too if I had to look at Wood on a regular basis. How do you handle that? Can't really blame you if your eyes wander a time or two." Her embarrassment was met only with his amused smirk as he too the seat on the other side of Katie, keeping the girls between them.
