Katie's indignation only had Marcus laughing all the harder. Her mutterings about Emma and Lexi cleared up a few things, but didn't make it any less entertaining. He'd have loved to be a fly on the wall while that conversation took place. He couldn't even imagine what had been said to get her into something other than her colourful collection of sports bras.
He snickered, watching her pull her shirt back on and right the rest of her clothing before heading toward the kitchen. He supposed that was a better option than what most would have done should they be laughed at for wearing lingerie. He didn't really feel like venturing back out into the hallway with Gertrude. Once a day was quite enough.
Following after her, his laughter finally dying down, he snickered when she exclaimed it wasn't that funny. "Alter of femininity," he recalled with a snort. "That's bloody hilarious." Moving to where she stood at the counter, trapping her between his own body and the counter, he plucked the beer from her fingertips and took a drink. "You probably should have went another route if you were going for sexy." His amusement was still evident as he took another drink of his stolen beer.
