Katie barely registered Nosy neighbour's words. She was too busy being surrounded by Marcus. His smell, his lips, his body... everything. He pulled her closer, every line of her body pressed against his and Katie almost hated that she felt as though this was exactly where she belonged. With him. She fit. Perfectly. Her tongue followed his lead, trailing gently over his lips, dipping in for a taste of rich, warm, Marcus and a hint of whiskey. He was just as intoxicating as his preferred drink and Katie would be fine getting drunk off of him for the rest of their lives.
When he broke the kiss, Katie's eyes focused, a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips as his hands slid up her arms, sending tingling shockwaves through her shirt. When those rough, calloused fingertips stroked the smooth skin of her hand and wrist, Katie sucked in her breath, watching that smirk move over his gorgeous face. She wasn't at all surprised when he tugged her back towards his flat and Katie couldn't help but suppress a grin as she passed the older lady.
"Trust me when I say," she said, as he tugged her inside. "None of this is free." The door closed on her surprised face and Katie laughed, the pressure and tension that had surrounded her for the past few days draining away. Katie met the blue-eyed gaze as Marcus looked her over. She slid out of the plaid coat, her oversized henley falling off her shoulder, exposing the top of her black, lacey bra. She tossed her coat on the back of the couch, raising a brow, challenging him. He hadn't said anything about what she'd said. But she wasn't so sure she thought he would. His reaction spoke volumes, really. He hadn't let her leave.
Stepping closer, a happy smile in place, her fingers easily found the band of his sleep pants as she pulled him closer. "You love me," she teased, feeling an incredibly, happy burst of love in her chest as she nipped at his bottom lip, tugging it gently with her teeth before kissing him. "I swear I won't tell anyone."
