Who: Penelope Clearwater and Percy Weasley What: Seeking and providing help. With wine. Where: Penelope's flat When: Thursday evening Status: In progress
It had taken Percy almost a week to notice that something was amiss; Oliver usually sought him out when he lost himself in his work for days at a time. Percy had had to emerge from his work when the sun rose the second day in a row to realise that something was missing. Not that Penelope wasn't quite forceful when she came to fetch him out of his work haze, but it seemed that she was otherwise distracted as well. It was only through reading past entries on the journal that he came upon the argument between his two best mates. When their silence extended far beyond what was normal for them, he decided that he needed to act.
It was probably a bad idea. Percy was terrible at it. His natural tendency was to scoff at those who meddled in others' social lives, and to stay very far away from the lot of it, lest he become the target of both parties' ire. But Oliver was already upset and wouldn't tell Percy why. What did he have to lose?
He only stayed at work until five for the first time in weeks, and stopped by the shop for a bottle of wine. He left the shop with four of them, and hoped it would be enough to get both he and Penelope through the evening.
He arrived at Penelope's flat and knocked on her door, shifting the bag of bottles and making them clink.
