Lexi was grateful for the arm Clint placed around her shoulders. A warming charm was one thing, but body heat was something else. Even better was the fact that she could hide a little more. There was still plenty of parents and children lingering about and she'd been getting plenty of dirty looks from the Mothers, which she felt was entirely unfair. A smile, however, tugged at the corner of her lips at the boys admission and the instant flush of Emma.
"I don't blame you," she teased, "You shouldn't put dirty things in your mouth." It was all rather amusing. She honestly had no idea why they were all standing around in Diagon Alley or why they all seemed to have connecting costumes, but it didn't really matter right then. She really had no where else to be, so who was she to complain. Besides, if she was honest, this was far more entertaining than anything she'd had planned prior to being ditched.
It was only when Lyssy and Tori came bounding up to them that Lexi realized Adrian's reason for being in Diagon Alley. He always took the girls out for a bit before making his own plans. She wasn't even all that surprised to see a bunch of honeydukes bags in their hands. Most kids went out and gathered free candy. These two went and bought it.
"Hey!" Tori pouted, spotting Lexi beneath Clint's arm. "How come Lexi gets to wear that costume and you made me alter my goddess costume?" Lexi flushed at that, further embarrassed. Her life was pretty awesome right then, she had to admit.
"Lexi isn't fifteen," was all Adrian offered, his eyes rolling upward with his exasperation.
