"Nah, you're on the money," he said quietly, staying quiet as she continued on her train of thought in regards to Friendships versus relationships. She was right. Friends had boundaries that relationships different, and maybe that said a lot about how things were with Justice. He liked Justice, liked her a lot, but it had gotten a little muddled and complicated without him meaning it to. And now he had his wires crossed. As a friend he ought to keep the respectful distance she very badly needed.
As a man she'd climbed on top of and had practically offered herself on a silver platter? It was too much distance for him to swallow. Since they were talking so sincerely, he wasn't going to bring up The Experience. No matter how much he disliked the place, she was a young woman and it was a happening place.
He just didn't approve of his friends nearly catching pneumonia, was all.
"You're pretty good at this," he said with a reserved smile, giving her a nudge, "You're right, too. I think I just... maybe I had her in the wrong category without realizing it. As a friend I should back the hell off. And for the record? I act differently at work because I'm paid to," his smile faded into a smirk, "And if you think I'm a pain in the balls in cop mode, you should've seen me as Corporal."
Christ, he felt better already. It didn't solve anything, but at least it made a lot more sense in his head.
