Ok, that was odd even by her standards. Just because she practiced Wicca didn't mean she bought into everything. If there were psychics, they were few and far between. Mostly there were charlatans. Marion dropped in Lou's esteem. Gus worked with people in tough situations. It was inevitable he'd come across a sad kid and all kids loved Spongebob. The chili flakes were a little more unlikely but not impossible.
Lou was skeptical. "I gotta say, that's odd. So now you're pretty much set for a snow storm or if a bunch of teenagers try to put a hex on you? Or if it was black salt and you were a teen who didn't know any better," like she'd been at one point, "you could try using it to force someone you hated to move." She'd really, really wanted to get rid of that girl. Shame it hadn't worked.
Ok, so mentioning any of that was probably putting her clearly in the same crazy category Marion belonged in. But she'd been young and more interested in the kind of 'magick' that made grownups squirm instead of the every day magic of nature at work that she was into now.
