That was incredibly specific, though she could stick to it for now. "Alright, just don't make me listen to any Taylor Swift songs." If he started putting even the cheery ones of those on his Facebook, she was gonna worry. Especially the ones that talked about being a 15 year old girl. It would trigger the kind of intervention that would have beer and cupcakes. Of course, if he decided he identified as a 15 year old girl, she could go with that too, but she'd definitely want to check in with him about it.
"No plans. A movie and baking would be amazing." He was joking about the thanking him part, but she really felt like she should. "Self-defense class must be getting to me; I haven't wanted to go out and do things alone so much lately. Probably all that mental vigilance they promote." Because it certainly wasn't because of any real incidents. Oh, no. Not that. Definitely not that. "So it'd be nice to hang out with a friend instead of being stuck back in my apartment."
That was less banter-y than she'd intended, but the words had slipped from her mouth before she'd had time to reconsider. Oh, well. "Um. But I need to go wash up and change out of my gym stuff first. That ok?"
