"Well that is fantastic news Ella," Isabel said, grinning back at the human. Her eagerness was incredibly encouraging. She was going to have a lot of fun with this one. When was the last time she'd had such a gung-ho assistant? And she had so little real ambition, too. Isabel would change all that.
"I think we had better shake on it," she offered her hand again, "And then I'll send you out to speak with my receptionist. We'll get all the clerical work out of the way today, and first thing tomorrow, I'll start breaking you in," Isabel's expression turned a bit mischievous, "Welcome aboard."
The receptionist mainly wanted Ella's official identification and her bank information so she could get paid. The salary was quite substantial, and that wasn't including overtime, which had no upper limit. The more she worked over her scheduled hours? The more she got paid.
Isabel got good results with such an incentive. Greed was one of the easier sins to exploit. She was still smiling to herself as her receptionist started handing over Ella's brand new phone and extremely sleek laptop. There was even a small office space available to her - nothing overly fancy, but she was definitely getting spoiled. And that was how Isabel liked her assistants. Spoiled, efficient pets that she could bend completely to her whims.
