Lucy grinned at his invitation, but it'd been an off - well, she hesitated to think for how long. Weekend? Week? Longer? Longer. Strangely enough, it had put her in the mood to play and maybe regain some of her confidence. It was silly, but if he had a sense of humor, he'd probably go along with it. And if he didn't, then he wasn't someone she'd be interested in anyway.
Lou shifted her weight backwards to lean back away from him, giving herself distance in a way that was jokingly evaluative. She crossed her arms over her chest, tilted her head, and narrowed her eyes as if thinking hard. There was nothing truly seductive to the move beyond the same contours of her body that were always there. The posture itself could have been at home on the schoolyard with a girl considering to risk cooties to sit at a boy's table when she didn't even know if he could shoot marbles worth a damn. Her lips kept sneaking into a smile though. She wasn't trying to hide the fact that she was only teasing.
She was one step away from inviting him to come and sit with her instead, but she wanted to see what he did first.
