Sterling caught a bit of movement out of the corner of his eye and he focused on the mirror that hung behind the bar. It looked like she was staring at him, so he turned on his seat and glanced back at her. He gave her a smile and then tilted his head, gesturing her over to the empty seat beside him. It was an open invitation and she could refuse, but she was a cute girl and he wouldn't mind having someone to talk to that evening.
Being new in town meant he didn't know anyone aside from his mother and the local drug dealer. He could stand a few acquaintances, and he wouldn't say no to Lucy climbing into his bed, either.
He was smart enough not to tell her that right off, though. Especially since she was still lingering at her table instead of coming onto him.
