"Thanks," Gus said, "I'll dig up everything we've got on her. If she's anything like Sinclair, though, it'll be another too-tidy paper trail that practically has little smiley faces all over them."
It was infuriating, how clean these people were. Nobody had a perfect record. Nobody without extremely well paid lawyers on retainer.
"And honestly, Grace? The only times I've seen that kind of violence is because of drugs," he paused to eat more, frowning again, "This town doesn't really make sense for it, is what gets me. It's not really near a major city. It'd be hell to distribute, not to mention that one side is obviously out of their minds, leaving such a crazy damned crime scene for the cops to find. We're missing an important piece of the puzzle here."
Or Gus was, anyway.
