The adamant tone that was underlying Lucy's voice was more than evident, and she'd completely expected it. The words the younger woman used, though... For some reason, they mulled in her head thicker than the usual responses she got to these kind of talks. Which were rare.
"Most of the time I'd agree with you, Lou," Justice said quietly, her voice had gone a little softer. Perhaps, battle-worn. "And I sure as hell can make some bad decisions. But I also know there are some things can do a lotta damage just by the sheer act of knowin'em."
Her lips wrapped around the cigarette filter again, breathing smoke when she continued, glancing the girl's way.
"You keep your wits up, you'll do good. An' I promise I'll keep an eye out for you. Now where am I turnin' on this street?"
