Okay. So there were other people. People Lou didn't know or trust. Not the way she trusted Justice. The murky outline of the idea of them didn't do much to reassure her. People she didn't know were fighting a threat she couldn't see. But Lou could see Justice. It was the one part of this that made any tangible sense to her.
Lucy was doing every damn thing she could to respect Justice's need for secrecy, but her self-imposed martyrdom struck too close to home. These other people weren't 'as aggressive'? So basically Justice was taking risks other people didn't think were necessary. Maybe she knew something they didn't. But dammit, Lou hated to see her willfully go it alone. Alone sucked. She'd been alone all her life because she'd flip out and systematically push anyone away when they got too close.
The same way she was probably going to do with Justice now. Her hair tossed as she shook her head, no. "It doesn't make a lot of sense, but I can go with that part. Hell, life doesn't make a lot of sense. But don't try to tell me that not knowing something's in my best interest. Ignorance doesn't do a damn thing to protect anyone. It just keeps them ignorant." Lucy crossed her arms over her chest. She respected Justice but right now she sure as hell didn't agree with her.
