That could've gone a lot worse. Justice allowed herself to breathe, and nodded, mulling everything the girl had said through her brain. Lou understood what she was hearing was vague, and intentionally so. She addressed it specifically, and responded well. Smart girl.
"Fair enough," Justice said, leaning her knee against the steering wheel so she could dig a cigarette out of the dash and light it. The cheery glowed red against her face when she took a pull, and continued.
"The first and best thing I can tell you is avoid places like Experience and Brimstone. And not that you ever had much of a problem in this area, but don't let anyone influence your day to day decisions. Not unless you know them well. Temptation's a real bitch, Lucy, and I don't say that as a bible-thumper."
The older woman took another slow drag from her smoke, subconsciously needing the addictive burn to keep her grounded.
"And you can start to help by forgetting you saw me in that parking lot tonight."
