"Coop. I don't understand what you're trying to tell me." Lucy drew her hands over her eyes and kept moving until they pulled her hair back in an automatic gesture. She did it whenever she was stressed or thinking hard. "This have to do with the reason you think the security was the problem?"
It stood out to her. In that situation, she would have believed that security was the solution. If she wasn't thinking right, she wanted to know. She wanted to understand what was happening. She wanted to be able to keep herself safe, but Justice seemed to be telling her that everything she'd been taught about that was wrong.
"What's going on?" Normally she wouldn't have pressed, but she wanted the truth and was shaken enough to directly ask for it.
