That really didn't answer her question. Lou tried to will her eyes sharper as she looked around them. Whatever she was missing might not be visible, but it was something she could do. In the information vacuum she was in, she would still try her best with the little she had to work with. Maybe she was being paranoid. Maybe Justice was. Or maybe she was missing something.
Lou didn't like the looks of these streets. On the occasions where she'd been with a group that drove to the Experience, they'd always parked close. The last thing you wanted to do was wander these streets in the dark hours of the morning.
"Good girls don't go places like that," Lou parroted back the line she'd heard so many times. "Besides," she kept her tone hushed as she walked and watched, "you didn't seem worried about the odds." Justice had literally invited them to take her on. And that took balls. Lou was impressed but concerned. Justice could have gotten hurt.
