Mod Post: Mini Welcome and Membership Approval
Welcome to the shiny, new Pimp Cane!
Details about why we moved, the drabble-a-thon, and even a message from dacro herself are all in the works. At the moment, I need to take a moment to update everyone on the membership approvals.
Loads of you are being approved as soon as one of the mods see that you have both submitted a disclaimer and requested membership. And as some of you already know, it's a pretty quick turnover if one of us happens to be online at the time. : )
However, in all of the excitement of the move or the discovery of a new asylum to join, some folks have forgotten one step or the other in the process. Your disclaimer must be submited to the age of consent post before your membership can be approved. Otherwise, unsigned, so to speak, requests to join the asylum will need to be rejected. It gets increasingly difficult to shift through the people that have submitted a disclaimer and those that have not.
At the present, there are five people who still need to submit a disclaimer. It may not seem like very many by themselves, but we literally have dozens of other people arriving all the time. So, my point is this:
If your name appears on the following list, you will need to go back and complete this step.
For those folks that have submitted a disclaimer but have not requested membership, you will need to go do so in order for your membership to be approved.
Just so we're clear, folks who've submitted a disclaimer, but have not requested membership will not have their disclaimers deleted. You'll just be nudged to complete step two. :) Folks who have requested membership but have not completed step one are receiving their nudge now and will be offered another short extension of 24 hours to post their disclaimers before their requests will be deleted out of necessity. You can always give it another go, but the first rejection will simply be a heads up to do so. :)
If there are any questions or comments, feel free to leave them here in the comments or email the mods directly at: tpc.comm at gmail dot com.
