Redford knew about Brian. He didn't know what he looked like, but he knew what he smelled like - because his scent had been all over Jed. He also knew that Brian was clearly a horrible person. Redford was just glad that Jed was over him.
And, wait. Jed was getting him a gun? Redford wasn't sure how to feel about that. He just wanted to go home, this place wasn't good for his nerves.
Giving Jed a vaguely confused frown, Redford tried to let Jed's closeness calm him down. Sadly, the fingers in his hair had stopped, and Redford really was waiting for somebody to tell him, any minute now, that he should go and wait outside like a good dog. He shouldn't be in here.
"Okay." Jed knew better than him about issues related to people, and he supposed that if Jed wanted to buy him a gun, then he shouldn't refuse. It would just be another new thing, like the occasional piece of food in his fridge that wasn't raw meat. He snagged a handful of Jed's shirt like an anchor, and nodded. "I don't think I really need one, though."
