Dave laughed. "Well, if you insist," he replied with a slight shrug of his shoulders. He was pleased to find out that somehow he hadn't lost all of his appetite after all, given that the idea of taking some of this food home was actually appealing to him. Maybe he could even let his dad have some of it.
And speaking of food... "And seriously, that's one of the biggest questions in my head for you actually. If you don't mind me asking of course," he leaned in, interested to hear Elijah's answer for this one. "Food... how does that work for you? Does it still taste the same?" He was well aware that it might have been seen as a bit rude, the question he was asking. However Dave also knew that if he didn't ask, he would be agonising about it the whole day and even week, unable to put the question to rest with a satisfactory answer.
"You can tell me to buzz off if you don't want to answer the question," Dave added, slightly apologetic.
