When she leaned back, she could catch a ray of sunshine through the trees. She stayed there, propped up on her hands, and closed her eyes. She was very much a cat sometimes. "Yeah, I know," she murmured. "Sad, really."
At his next comment, she opened one of her eyes and peered at him, smirking. "How do you usually work it out?" she asked, her voice turning into a purr.
