Funny how the words didn't seem to want to leave her lips now. Falling silent for several minutes, she reached out to take his hand in hers, trailing her thumb against his skin. She moved to kneel on the bed behind him, wrapping her arms around him and pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Before I was taken," she murmured, her voice breaking because now, now she was starting to cry, "I was pregnant." She drew in a deep, shaky breath before continuing, "But I lost the baby.
