Rogue's emotions had been on a roller coaster for the past week. First with the obvious bar fight that she, Bobby, and John had managed to become involved in; and then going back to Caldecott county Mississippi was not any easier. Somehow being alone had been allowing the nightmares and echos of others scream louder in her mind. She was surprised she hadn't managed to keep Jubilee up awake with her rough nights. Though when she got in trouble and used her powers by accident she realized she needed to try to confront the things that had threaten to take over her. Though the events in Mississippi had not gone over as well as Rogue had hoped, it did give her more answers to her questions that she had been fighting inside her head and given her the realization that her home was in New York.
However, thanks to Jubilee's inside information and talk on the way back from the airport, Rogue had the privalege to come back home to 5am wake up calls with chores and other requirements such as training with Logan and attending the school trip she had planned on skipping.
Though Rogue liked history she still wanted to at least get a chance to take a break from her rough tip before her first 5am wake up call. Still she followed through with the punishment and went on the trip. Never being one to stay idly by when at a museum, Rogue observed the displays quietly in her own pace. Still she did try to be sure she was close enough to the group so they wouldn't leave without her. Becoming interested by one display she had managed to fall behind from the rest of the group. "Shoot!" she muttered under her breath asshe pulled herselfaway from the display and tried to find her way back to the group.
As Rogue turned a few corners she realized she managed to get herself, not only behind the group, but lost. Fighting the urge to hunt them down desperately she quickened her speed and turned more and more corners. As she ran she felt the air around her drop a few degrees and she knew she was close. It did not fully 'click' inside of her that she should worry to the reason why Bobby was dropping the temperature until she turned the right corner in time to see a man put a collar around his neck. "Bobby!" she cried out before she could stop herself.
"Shit there's another one!" one of the men called out to her. Wide-eyed and confused Rogue turned and began to run down the hall. "Go after her!" the man yelled to others she had not seen around another corner.
Rogue was a decent runner. Not super human fast but fast enough to get herself out of situations when she needed to. She ran, turning random corners not sure as to where she was going. All she knew was that she needed to get herself far away from them. She could hear the men yell and she took a chance to glance behind her. When she did she felt something prick her in the back of the neck and she fell down to the ground hard. Rogue reached to touch the back of her neck and felt the needle.
"Watch the skin on this one." a man said as another slipped a collar on her. Rogue let herself slip into the darkness.
