John smirked over at Logan, lifting his eyebrow at Bobby's comments. "Bite me," he muttered as he clipped his friend around the ear and then found trainers, given that they were the easiest things to reach. John didn't need it to be late in the day for him to be snarky, it was just the way he was.
"Know any good tunes?" John asked, yanking a hoodie over his head next. "You know so I can whistle whilst I work?" He flashed another smirk, this one larger than the last. What? He wasn't about to play the expected role of suitably chastised and apprehensive student. That would be too much fun. For Logan.
He turned his head and eyed Bobby. "C'mon, man. Sooner we get started the sooner we can get this particular brand of bullshit out of the way." John tucked his lighter into his pocket and wandered past Logan, bracing himself for what was to come. "Here's hoping we have company soon enough. You know, what with Rogue being outta town and all. Fair's fair after all."
