Parvati made biweekly trips to the salon, upping her usual weekly visits she took before arriving on the ship. She didn't exactly do much of anything to need relaxing treatment so often, and she certainly didn't need her nails repainted more than once a week, but she went because it gave her something to do besides sitting around by herself in her room. Sitting and having a staff member give her a mani-pedi was much less lonely than making shopping trips alone. Yes, Parvati's mind worked in twisted ways, but desperate times called for desperate measures.
Leaning back in a reclined chair, she had one foot in a foot bath and the other propped up and having her toenails painted dark purple. Peering over the fashion magazine in her hands, she noticed the blonde woman sit only chairs away. "You look like you need a day at the spa," she observed, looking back down at her magazine.
