Rowena was back. Rowena was back, and she had no idea that she and Salazar were ever married. Salazar expected as much, but that did not mean that he was any less angry, any less hurt than he was when she intitally left. If anything it made him angrier, because he knew that, logically, he couldn't be mad at her. Oh, how he wished he had thought to bring his beloved cobra, Jor, with him onto the island! Sometimes that was the only creature Salazar ever wanted to talk to, and now was no exception.
Serpentless, Salazar wandered the jungle alone, taking in the views of the flora and fauna. He was very much a snobby aristocrat, but he never felt out of place in nature. In fact, he would even go as far as to say that he loved it. It gave him a sense of peace, one that was rarely awarded to him. He stopped to take in the sight of a bird high in the treetop, when he heard footsteps close by. Salazar put himself on alert, and silently looked around to see who it was. And, upon seeing that it was Rowena, his heart all but stopped.
