WHO Alecto and Rabastan WHAT Destressing and alone time WHEN February 11, 1979 WHERE Lestrange mansion RATING/STATUS PG-13/Incomplete
Alecto was tired of the brat. She whined non-stop, usually about how she wanted her toys or her mother, so when she could take it no longer, she left a note for Amycus while he was in the other room so he couldn't stop her and Apparated to just outside the Lestranges' manor. She knew she shouldn't have just left her brother alone there, and she felt a touch guilty, but really, it was an act of self-defense; if she hadn't, she'd probably have done something terrible to the little girl. Amycus didn't know any French, and they'd been trying to teach her at least a few words in English; she knew a few key verbs and objects, so Alecto was able to shrug off her guilt pretty easily.
She walked through the wards and the gate and up the front door. Alecto was usually bold as brass when it came to people she knew pretty well, but she always knocked before she entered someone's home that wasn't her's or her mother's. So she knocked. And she waited. After a moment or two, a house elf answered the door and she rudely pushed on by; they weren't human so they hardly mattered, after all. Alecto thought Rabastan would be in his study, but she wasn't sure, so she found the stairs and called up them.
