Who: James Potter and Lily Evans When: Tuesday lunch Where: Pub in London, then James and Lily's flat What: a meal and explanations Why: James wants to talk about the wedding and try to put things right again Rating: PG-13 Status: Complete
James sat at a slightly gummy table near the window of the Whistling Toad. His leg was jiggling manically, the only outward sign that he was nervous. Really, why should he be nervous? So Lily would tell him some minor, insignificant thing that she was worried about, he'd make things right, and they'd get married. Bing, bang, boom. He just wished he could dismiss the sense of foreboding gnawing at his stomach. Foreboding and arousal didn't mix well, and for all that James was worried, he was also already revved up at the thought of seeing Lily again. There was no other girl out there who could get him going like this just by thinking about her.
He ordered a Guinness and sat back, watching the door and trying to look casual.
