"But, my lord," Hera protested, a sparkle in her eyes and a smirk on her lips, "I do not see a king here at all. Only my younger brother, who has been some distance away from me for far too long." She curtsied yet again, a more dramatic affair this time as she involved her skirts and sunk low enough that most men around could well see the gravity-defying effects of her corset. Smiling happily, she joined him in the dance, so glad she hadn't cut this portion in favor of angering others.
Preening a bit, she stroked the feathers on her mask. "Only my favorite," she answered in the same soft tone, meeting his eyes as they danced. "Which ought not be mentioned to said man." She winked at him slyly before smiling. She had missed him. Zeus was always busy with his court, and though she loved her sisters, she didn't have the same fun with them as she did with her brothers. "Though my lord looks striking indeed, I do not see an animal at all among the finery."
