I am sorry it took me so long to write and I hope I shall remedy that by writing back quickly. I have been longing to write to you, but everything has happened so quickly, it is almost impossible to include it all in this letter without feeling as if I am making excuses and wasting ink I could be using to write more important things to you.
It relieves me to hear that King Poseidon was able to speak to my father, and I hope that a letter to him will be enough. Perhaps I may convince my Lord to invite him so he will be put at rest. His Majesty has been a true gentleman to me, and has presented me with gifts of such beauty I cannot help but feel unworthy of such lavishness. I heard only briefly of Metis though, only that she has been banished, which is most unfortunate. As "wise" as she was, I did find her a most wise queen.
But cousin, I would have thought that a dance with His Majesty would have garnered his seeking your company beyond the grounds of Olympus. You two seemed to enjoy the dance and even if you call it a passing flirtation, he did seem quite struck with you. Two sons is quite the accomplishment though, I do worry about Queen Themis though. I've only heard good things about her benevolence and kindness, I would hate to see the same fate as Metis fall upon her.
