Demeter had been anticipating her visit to her brother Hades, and took the time to prepare before descending into his domain. She dressed appropriately for her visit, hair entwined with threads of gold weaved throughout the mane. They shimmered in the sunlight during the day and even on the ferry ride, they sparkled about her hair giving her a glow like a field of fresh wheat ready for harvest. She didn't say much to Charon who'd escorted her, merely giving him demure smiles whenever she glanced at him.
The palace erected by her brother had Demeter looking up at it in admiration. Truly a fine piece of workmanship that she kept quietly to herself was truly as magnanimous as Olympus. The last thing she needed to do was start some sort of squabble between the brothers over whose palace was grandest. Not that they would, but she imagined if they'd been women, it would have been inevitable, surely men might end up doing the same, right?
"My dearest brother," Demeter returned, seeing him approaching the landing, "Thank you for the invitation and the warm welcome...it is truly stunning." She eyed the castle behind him, but offered a hand to him.
