When the torches lit around the cavern, she brought her blade up in defense of her face. Hell, she hated it when people messed with the lights just as she was getting used to the darkness. Her eyes adjusted quickly though and she spun her blade down to slide it back into place. She looked into his eyes and tensed, literally. This...no, it couldn't be but she wasn't going to say anything at all to him about what she knew.
"Thank you." Seraphina's voice was hesitant until she looked away from him and then her voice gained confidence. "I am Seraphina, no last name." She had her valkyrie name, but what was th epoint in telling him the additions to her own? Seraphina The Brutal. It wasn't as if he'd understand and there were dozens of other names attached to her besides 'brutal'.
"I...have a question for you." She kept her gaze studiously fixed on the wall, trying to avoid catching his gaze with hers in the hopes that someone would not inform this dragon that his mate just walked through the door and maybe, he wouldn't recognize it himself. She did, but that was sheer habit not 'looking' perse but protecting herself from it unlike some of her sisters. "..what has happened to the Valkyrie? I know Freya and Woden have not stopped making us, so what has happened to my sisters? None of them would stay in Valhalla, not when things are going the way they are." Valkyrie were bloodthirsty by nature and she was no different, none of her kind was. But at the same time, she was inquisitive and finally, she looked at him and let her eyes meet his for the second time, though this wasn't as brief.
"I need to know what happened to my sisters and Freya told me in a dream that you were the only one who could help me, so here I am." But her 'mother' sure didn't tell her that he was her mate, damn it all.
