She clung to him, desperate for the feeling of safety. Of course she wasn't angry with him; how could she be? He was a good friend to Manannan and he had been off hunting for food for his mother and the village, she imagined. She looked up at him, biting down hard on her lip.
"Yes." Nime replied, her voice soft. "Wolves." She had her face buried against him, finally able to let loose all of the pent up fears that she had through those tears. "I thought you were dead when I couldn't find you."
After a few minutes, Nimue just nodded. "Yes, I've been searching for you and Manannan all this time. I needed to find you, know you lived and that you were safe; that was all that mattered. Including my revenge against the bastards who slaughtered our home. I needed to find you first, so I could fight with you."
