As soon as she felt the air of someone near her, she side stepped to the right as he moved to the left. Her eyes flicked up to meet his and her head tilted off to one side for a moment. "No apologies necessary. After all, who couldn't be amazed in the City of Fools?" Her gaze flicked to the gargoyle for but a moment, scanning his hands and his feet. She merely snorted, her eyes showing no means of amusement nor her face. No, she knew how things went within this city, better than most.
A test, of sorts. All sidhe gave those they met a test, but she at that moment did not feel like giving one. After all, who had heard of her in the last nine hundred years since she left the court? No one, really. Her gaze lifted up into his face once more and a smile flitted briefly across her features.
A moment of hesitation, just a moment but she offered her hand. "Aisling." No middle or last name, simply her first. Names give people power over them; she'd never reveal her 'true' name to anyone. And it had been a long time since she had gone by 'O'Reilly'. Ever since her husband died and her son had grown to be a man by human reckoning, twenty three years ago now. After all, he may need her guidance now and then, but rarely did he need her constantly with him. It was one of the reasons she became a constant wanderer, though her main house was here within the city.
