Adoni had been in town for a fortnight, always prowling the streets in search of... something. He hadn't a clue, but he felt like he needed to find it. He wasn't a bad vampire, so to speak, and he didn't wander the streets in search of prey. He merely wanted to find companionship... someone with whom to pass the time. One grew lonely, always walking the streets alone, always living alone. For thousands of years... it could drive a person mad.
This evening, the vampire had been observing the passersby, wondering what they were doing - where they were going, from whence they were coming. He saw a very peculiar-looking gargoyle across the way... typically, the gargoyles kept their human appearances around the city. But this man... he walked with stone hands and stone feet. It was enough to make you look twice.
As he was watching this gargoyle, he wasn't paying attention to where his feet were leading him. He came around a corner, and nearly ran into the girl. He stopped himself, though, and darted to the left. "My apologies," he said quickly, giving her a quick scan. Since they had both moved so quickly, he had caught a glimpse of the point of her ear. Ah, a fae. He smiled winningly at her.
