He nodded his agreement to not wanting to live in a serious world, his smile reached his eyes when he saw hers grow stronger. It was good to see her smile, she was beautiful when she smiled and it killed him to think that he'd ever made her frown.
Her thought on how his explaining to his father would help made him feel better. He wondered if that was the only reason she was talking to him. He thought that maybe, if he had gone like his mother, she wouldn't have anything to do with him. Giving a faint sigh of relief he nodded once again, "Yes, it did. More than I can really say." He squeezed his neck, pulling the packages held in his arm closer to his body, "I think I'd have gone insane if I didn't... But I'd have also gone insane if I didn't come back."
When Marion explained about her family Aviel gave her a look of understanding. "I'm glad they're doing good and I can't exactly say anything about taking off, I think I took that to an extreme," he said giving a self-deprecating laugh.
