Maskuk Visits an Acquaintance
Who: Maskuk
What: Confession of the Priest
When: Sunday morning, week 2
Where: Underground dungeon, White Wave
Rating: R for torture, murder and gore.
Kiln was playing with a rat in his cell. Since he got arrested last week for getting caught, the rat he name Timothy has been his only friend. The only being around him, in fact, besides the passing outlines of light of the flaunting angels who were watching him below the ancient White Wave tower. He had just finished sewing together a small bed for Tim and was trying to show off the gift, but it scurried away ungratefully. Kiln cursed and stood up, the blood seeming to rush out of his head as he got tunnel vision.
"Wait a minute," the changeling spoke clearly in a too-perfect flat English voice. This darkness was not departing. "I was wondering when you'd come to break me free."
Kiln turned and looked towards the direction of the bars, but everything was in pitch black darkness. Somewhere, he heard Tim screech. He jumped as it felt like tiny spiders were crawling up his legs, and frantically tried to brush them off but didn't touch anything. He stood staring at hands he couldn't see and tried pressing down on his leg, and felt the spiders crawling under it. Panic sounded in his voice, "I told them nothing, sire! They caught me in a shift, but even the angels couldn't get anything out of me. I don't care if they post more guard, they cannot stop me from killing him!"
All Kiln could hear was his own rasping breath as he felt the sensation of spiders crawling down his throat and Tim's screech cut off by a snap. Various forms rippled over his skin as he shifted in panic. Kiln tried to scream for the guards, but suddenly felt the spiders in his lungs turn to nails that exploded outwards. His latest form, of an abused human waitress he once met in the Netherdunes, was suspended in the air for a few seconds before it drifted like a feather in the darkness to the ground.
The room slowly lighted as the shadows withdrew, revealing the human woman that went missing fourteen years ago to be found with bite marks on her neck.
